Mother's Day

As someone who desperately wants to be a mother, Mother's Day is a very hard day for me. I read an article the other day that got me thinking. No, I'm not a mother yet, but I have nurtured and shown love to many children in my life. Whether these children are family members, children that I was paid to care for, or children that captured my heart while on mission trips in Jamaica, I have and still do truly love all of them. To all the women out there that aren't mothers: You've made a difference in the life of some child at some point. You should be very proud of that. Happy Mother's Day.

  1. Wonderful post! And Happy Mothers Day to you as I know you have touched a great many children's hearts, any who have known you, and you touch a great many hearts of us "grown up" children and you DESERVE to be honored and recognized for the love and compassion that flows freely from you!

Besides any of us who know your DH may say you already have 1 "big kid" and you definitely deserve praise for taking that one! ;-) (wink, wink) lol

  2. I hate mother's day too. I feel bad that I hate it because I have a wonderful mother and MiL that deserve to be celebrated but it just leaves me with very bittersweet feelings.

So this year I'm going to send out a very Happy Mother's Day wish to you and all the other "someday mom's" out there who deserve a nod for their struggles to be a mom. <3
